Dear Friend,

After listening all week to the shocking abuses committed in Iraq by Blackwater, the House came together and overwhelmingly passed a bill that would bring some accountability to all armed private contractors working overseas.

Now it's the Senate's turn to take action. But they must do it now by the same solid, veto-proof margin as the House, because the White House is opposed to accountability for these hired guns.

Tell your Senators to act quickly and support accountability for these hired guns.

An astounding 120,000 "private security contractors" are in Iraq, 48,000 of them working as combat soldiers. They get paid far more than real soldiers, their deaths are not included in the official casualty counts, and they are essentially accountable to no one. The Senate has a chance to change this, but they have to act swiftly.
